Q: What is the working load limit on this item?
A: Thimbles are non-rated because they are non load bearing and are designed to be fitted with wire rope or fiber rope. The Working Load Limit (WLL) of the weakest link in an assembly should be the working load limit for which you rate the assembly. For example: If you add a thimble into a wire rope eye, and the wire rope assembly's Working Load limit is 1000 lbs, the working load limit is still 1000 lbs, but if you add an eyebolt with a working load limit of 800 lbs to the assembly, then the entire assembly should only be rated at 800 lbs.
