Swaging Instructions for HAAS Stainless Cable Railing Fittings
Use With Tool Part Number: CTA11854 - Crenshaw Swager for 3/16" Fittings
Step 1
Insert the HAAS fitting’s swage area into the properly sized swage cavity on the swager. The end of the fitting should be flush with the swager’s jaw, and the swager jaw shouldn’t extend past the swage area mark on the fitting.
Step 2
Swage the fitting until the handles of the swager are completely closed.
Step 3
Rotate the fitting 90 degrees and swage the fitting again in the swage area.
Step 4
Your fittings should look like this:
HAAS Stainless Cable Railing fittings are designed to achieve the following pullout loads when properly swaged onto 1x19 Stainless Cable:
- 1/8”: 1200 lbs
- 3/16”: 1800 lbs
- Lag Fittings: 900 lbs when properly installed in #2 pine.
